Get the length of a JavaScript string in bytes.
Syntax

JS_GetStringEncodingLength(JSContext *cx, JSString *str);

str | JSString * | A string to encode. |
Description
JS_GetStringEncodingLength
returns the length of the specified string in bytes, regardless of its encoding. You can use this value to create a buffer to encode the string into using the JS_EncodeStringToBuffer
function.
To encode to UTF8, use JS::GetDeflatedUTF8StringLength
and JS::DeflateStringToUTF8Buffer
instead.
