HTMLIFrameElement.findNext() 编辑
Warning: Removed in Firefox 65.
The findNext()
method of the HTMLIFrameElement
highlights the next or previous instance of a search result after a findAll()
search has been carried out.
Invoking this method results in a mozbrowserfindchange
event firing, which carries details about the search results.
Note: Use of the Browser API requires a privileged app, and browser
and/or embed-apps
permissions, depending on what you want to do. See Using the Browser API for more details.
Syntax
instanceOfHTMLIframeElement.findNext(direction);
Return value
Void.
Parameters
- direction
- A string indicating the direction in which you want to cycle through the available search results. Available values are
forward
andbackward
.
Examples
The following functions are taken from our Browser API demo, and cycle through the available search results. See Implementing the search bar for more explanation.
prev.addEventListener('touchend',function() {
browser.findNext('backward');
});
next.addEventListener('touchend',function() {
browser.findNext('forward');
});

Not part of any specification.
Browser compatibility
Supported since Firefox 47, in chrome code only. Removed completely in Firefox 65.
Unlikely ever to be supported in other browsers.
