This release notes document describes the enhancements and changes, fixed and known issues that exist for the Citrix ADM release Build 13.1–12.50.
Notes
This release notes document does not include security related fixes. For a list of security related fixes and advisories, see the Citrix security bulletin.
What’s New
The enhancements and changes that are available in Build 13.1–12.50.

Licensing
ADM on-prem Express offering change to 2 virtual servers
The Citrix ADM Express edition has been updated from 30 to two free licenses of virtual servers. You can now manage up to two discovered applications or virtual servers and view analytics. To apply licenses for more than two virtual servers, you must buy new Advanced ADM licenses. Earlier, ADM supported 30 free licenses of virtual servers.
Note
If you are using more than two virtual server licenses, after 30 days, the free default licenses are applied only for two virtual servers. And, you will need to buy and apply new licenses for the remaining virtual servers.
For more information, see Licensing.

StyleBooks
StyleBooks support implicit typecasting of datatypes
When you use StyleBook expressions for different datatypes, the StyleBook engine now implicitly typecasts the output to an appropriate datatype. For example, if you do an add operation between string
and integer
types, the StyleBook engine sets the output datatype to string
.

Fixed Issues
The issues that are addressed in Build 13.1–12.50.
Analytics
The mas_afdecoder process fails because of memory corruption. With this fix, Citrix ADM checks the mas_afdecoder process to avoid memory corruption and reduces the debugged logs.
[NSHELP-29237]
Adding new virtual servers to a custom application fails if that application has an Out-of-Service virtual server.
[NSHELP-29213]
When you are monitoring many virtual servers, the Network Functions dashboard takes longer time to load or it becomes unresponsive.

Management and Monitoring
In a GSLB setup, when you have the same domain name for multiple ADC instances, the entity polling incorrectly updates the database.
[NSHELP-29885]
In Citrix ADM, when you enable Perform Audit on receiving netScalerConfigChange event, ADM polls the ADC instances for every configuration change. However, if there are multiple changes in the ADC configuration at the same time, the configuration audit polling fails. For more information to enable configuration audit polling, see Set configuration audit notifications.
[NSHELP-29855]
After upgrading Citrix ADM to 13.0.83.x, Application Dashboard displays the old application name when it is changed in the ADC instance.
[NSHELP-29518]
ADM with many virtual servers, services, and service groups result in higher CPU consumption, after you enable the Instance Network Reporting feature.
[NSHELP-29436]
After you upgrade Citrix ADM to 13.1-4.43 version, the ADM GUI does not display CPU, memory, and disk status for a secondary ADM server.
[NSHELP-29344]
In Citrix ADM, If you add two ADC instances with the same IP address, the ADM GUI displays one instance status as UP and another as DOWN. When you rediscover the ADC instance that is in DOWN state, ADM fails to fetch the ADC version.
[NSHELP-29227]
Sometimes, configuration audit does not work for ADC partitions as expected.
[NSHELP-29051]
When you upgrade an ADC instance by using ADM maintenance jobs, after the instance restarts, under the Citrix ADC instance page, the upgraded ADC image version does not appear. The GUI still shows the old image version.
[NSADM-60824]
User Interface
The ADM GUI displays an incorrect ADM server time when the browser tab is inactive.
[NSHELP-28278]
Known Issues
The issues that exist in release 13.1–12.50.
StyleBooks
When you upgrade Citrix ADM from any older builds to 13.1.12.x build, Citrix ADM rolls back the existing ConfigPacks to its earlier version.
Workaround: Upgrade to the latest version of Citrix ADM.

Analytics
When you enable analytics on a virtual server, some required information might be lost between ADC and ADM. As a result, the transaction data becomes invalid and unavailable on the ADM reports.
[NSHELP-26545]
The Citrix ADM 13.1-12.x build supports only two free virtual server licenses. For more information, see Licensing.
After you upgrade to 13.1-12.x build, if any virtual server (with analytics enabled already) gets unlicensed, the Analytics Status in the All Virtual Servers page (Settings > Licensing & Analytics Configuration > Configure Analytics) might still show it as enabled, but the analytics data is not shown in ADM.
[NSADM-79893]
Orchestration
When you create a member on OpenStack Lbaas using ADM orchestration, the member creation fails on OpenStack intermittently. This issue happens when a proxy request from ADM to orchestration services times out after 30 seconds. With this fix, the request timeout for orchestration APIs has increased to 120 seconds.
[NSHELP-21490]
If you are using OpenStack Queens for LBaas workflow, the Load Balancing virtual server is not bound to Content Switching virtual server. This issue impacts the traffic.
Workaround:
- Create a pool with Load Balancing virtual server.
- Create a listener with the pool ID. If you already have a listener, update the listener with the pool ID.
[NSADM-36631]
Management and Monitoring
When you configure a Citrix ADM 13.1 on-prem agent on Azure cloud, an error message is displayed.
Workaround: You can ignore this error message and continue to configure.
