Currently, we are using ActiveMQ Artemis as message broker. Some more info on our setup

• Manage our own listener using DefaultMessageListenerContainer.
• CachingConnectionFactory for connection by default
• Session is transacted (setTransacted to true in container)
• Our queue is auto-created
• Current ActiveMQ Artemis is 2.17.0

Occasionally, there is an error occurs during runtime. This leads to Session is closed exception in application.

我相信您正在使用自动创造和自动淘汰的竞赛条件进行队列。

我建议您调整您的地址 - 安排,如下所示:禁用自动删除:

<address-settings>
<!-- if you define auto-create on certain queues, management has to be auto-create -->
<address-setting match="activemq.management#">
<dead-letter-address>DLQ</dead-letter-address>
<expiry-address>ExpiryQueue</expiry-address>
<redelivery-delay>0</redelivery-delay>
<!-- with -1 only the global-max-size is in use for limiting -->
<max-size-bytes>-1</max-size-bytes>
<message-counter-history-day-limit>10</message-counter-history-day-limit>
<address-full-policy>PAGE</address-full-policy>
<auto-create-queues>true</auto-create-queues>
<auto-create-addresses>true</auto-create-addresses>
<auto-delete-queues>false</auto-delete-queues>
<auto-delete-addresses>false</auto-delete-addresses>
</address-setting>
<!--default for catch all-->
<address-setting match="#">
<dead-letter-address>DLQ</dead-letter-address>
<expiry-address>ExpiryQueue</expiry-address>
<redelivery-delay>0</redelivery-delay>
<!-- with -1 only the global-max-size is in use for limiting -->
<max-size-bytes>-1</max-size-bytes>
<message-counter-history-day-limit>10</message-counter-history-day-limit>
<address-full-policy>PAGE</address-full-policy>
<auto-create-queues>true</auto-create-queues>
<auto-create-addresses>true</auto-create-addresses>
<auto-delete-queues>false</auto-delete-queues>
<auto-delete-addresses>false</auto-delete-addresses>
</address-setting>
</address-settings>

I believe you're running into a race-condition with auto-create and auto-delete for your queue.

I recommend you adjust your address-settings as follows to disable auto-delete:

<address-settings>
<!-- if you define auto-create on certain queues, management has to be auto-create -->
<address-setting match="activemq.management#">
<dead-letter-address>DLQ</dead-letter-address>
<expiry-address>ExpiryQueue</expiry-address>
<redelivery-delay>0</redelivery-delay>
<!-- with -1 only the global-max-size is in use for limiting -->
<max-size-bytes>-1</max-size-bytes>
<message-counter-history-day-limit>10</message-counter-history-day-limit>
<address-full-policy>PAGE</address-full-policy>
<auto-create-queues>true</auto-create-queues>
<auto-create-addresses>true</auto-create-addresses>
<auto-delete-queues>false</auto-delete-queues>
<auto-delete-addresses>false</auto-delete-addresses>
</address-setting>
<!--default for catch all-->
<address-setting match="#">
<dead-letter-address>DLQ</dead-letter-address>
<expiry-address>ExpiryQueue</expiry-address>
<redelivery-delay>0</redelivery-delay>
<!-- with -1 only the global-max-size is in use for limiting -->
<max-size-bytes>-1</max-size-bytes>
<message-counter-history-day-limit>10</message-counter-history-day-limit>
<address-full-policy>PAGE</address-full-policy>
<auto-create-queues>true</auto-create-queues>
<auto-create-addresses>true</auto-create-addresses>
<auto-delete-queues>false</auto-delete-queues>
<auto-delete-addresses>false</auto-delete-addresses>
</address-setting>
</address-settings>

This modification of broker.xml was made default in 2.18.0 via ARTEMIS-3417. Also, both <auto-create-jms-queues> and <auto-create-jms-topics> are deprecated and no longer do anything so I removed those as well.

Generally speaking, I recommend you upgrade to the latest version which is 2.22.0 at this point. Be sure to take a look at the documentation for details on upgrading.
