    return Thread.currentThread().getStackTrace()[2].getLineNumber();
}
or 
Thread.currentThread().getStackTrace()[2].getLineNumber()
 in Log()

To accomplish that, here is what I did (the %L outputs line number) :

## log4j.properties

log4j.appender.CA=org.apache.log4j.ConsoleAppender

log4j.appender.CA.layout=org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout
