debian 是所有 linux distro 收录的 binary package 最多最完整的 linux distro, 除非你真的有找不到的软件包，要不然想不出来自己 tarball 编译的用途为何。

是否多利用 apt-get 安装 ? 或者是不清楚先 apt-cache 找所需要的 package ?

suse 也是一样，这种软件包都会收录，因为 auth smtp 验证机制也都整合到 linux distro 内。

先多利用 yast 如何 ?

拉回来原本问题... 好吧，要 tarball 自己来，请先安装上 openssl-devel 这类编译软件所需要的 package 包，因为这才会有必要的 openssh 所提供的 c header 与 library 供编译使用。
