Solutions

Solution 1

import pandas as pd

def find_employees(employee: pd.DataFrame) -> pd.DataFrame:
  df = employee.merge(right=employee, how="left", left_on="managerId", right_on="id")
  emp = df[df["salary_x"] > df["salary_y"]]["name_x"]

  return pd.DataFrame({"Employee": emp})
SELECT Name AS Employee
FROM Employee AS Curr
WHERE
  Salary > (
    SELECT Salary
    FROM Employee
    WHERE Id = Curr.ManagerId
  );

Solution 2

# Write your MySQL query statement below
SELECT
  e1.name AS Employee
FROM
  Employee AS e1
  JOIN Employee AS e2 ON e1.managerId = e2.id
WHERE e1.salary > e2.salary;
